Day 10 of 20 (4/20 Foods) – Ranch Dip and everything that offers

Ranch! Who doesn’t love Ranch? Well actually, if I’m (Marlee) being perfectly honest, I used to HATE ranch. I thought ranch was the most disgusting sauce there was. And then one day, Christie, decided that we should make our own, and then she forced me to taste it and lo and behold, I didn’t hate it. Shocker.

From there on out, it opened a whole new door of flavor and dipping sauce possibilities. You can use this with carrots, french fries, chicken tenders, burgers, fried pickles, salads, sandwich spreads, just about anything. While the ingredients definitely scared me at first, once it’s mixed together, it becomes a magically delicious sauce that you could literally eat by the spoonful.

We gladly dedicate this recipe to our sweet little Marin, who absolutely LOVES ranch.

Day 9 of 20 (4/20 Foods) – Cereal Treats

Cereal Treats

Cereal Treats. Who doesn’t love cereal treats? They’re sweet, crunchy and keep your mouth busy and filled with flavor. Now, while we love the OG Rice Krispie treats, we thought we would give you something extra special. Fruity Pebble Treats. You could honestly try this your favorite cereal, but fruit pebbles are definitely high on our list of favorites.

Seriously, these were one of our favorite recipes we made for this. Something about the marshmallows sinking to the bottom, the crunchiness of the cereal, the overall mouth feel, was truly wonderful.

Day 8 of 20 (4/20 Foods) – Apple and Cheddar with Honey

Trader Joe’s Special! This snack is something we encountered at Trader Joe’s while our friend Kathy* was demoing it. We were standing there catching up with Kathy for like 20 minutes and in that time Christie had several samples. Sweet, salty, and floral = freaking delicious. Also, you feel a little healthier eating this because it’s just a honeycrisp apple, sharp cheddar and honey.

There really isn’t much instruction wise. Just cut your apples and cheese, lay said cheese on said apples and drizzle with honey. BAM. How bout them apples?

Day 7 of 20 (4/20 Foods) – Chocolate Whipped Cream and Fruit

Chocolate Wipped Cream

Day Seven! Woo Hoo! A week of recipes. Some are obviously easier than others but this is one of are favorite go to munchie snacks. You can’t go wrong with flavorful whipped cream and delicious berries.

Again, you can obviously adjust the sweetness and chocolatey-ness of this but we found this was our perfect combination. Now, if you’re truly that lazy and can’t be bothered to make this, you can always enjoy some chocolate reddi wip. But trust us, this is the way to go.

Day 6 of 20 (4/20 Foods) – Sweet and Salty

This combination is completely Marlee’s thing. She LOOOVES sweet and salty together, so she put two of her favorite snacks together and made what I (Christie) call a “fruit and cheese plate”.

The cute little salty cheese crackers and chocolate covered raisins totally make your tongue dance. The best part about it, everything is premade, just mix and enjoy!

Day 5 of 20 (4/20 Foods) – Snacking Cookie Dough

When we did research on classic stoner foods, cookie dough popped up in every list. This recipe is perfect for the munchies or anyone who feels a little dangerous every time you eat the cookie dough you know someone’s grandmother told you not to. This specific cookie dough is made to be eaten raw, because there is no egg. The only thing baked might be you.

P.S. Don’t try to bake this, it’s for snacking purposes only. Make this cookie dough, popcorn and pick a show on Netflix, that’s what we call church.

Day 4 of 20 (4/20 Foods) – Bacon Jampanadas

Bacon Jampanadas

Bacon Jampanadas are the happiest accident we ever created. These were created because we had a lot of extra pie dough from making the pop-tarts, so we started searching the kitchen for other things to use so we don’t waste. I know, us and these damn pop-tarts! We can’t help that food-pockets are essential stoner food.

Anyway, an amazing idea presented itself, BACON JAM! Yes, smokey, sweet, savory goodness in a cute little portable pocket form. It’s like Polly Pocket, but Piggy Pocket, haha. Also, the name “Bacon Jampanadas” was an inspiration that was stumbled upon while eating these stoned.

Day 3 and we know, we’ve posted Pop-Tarts a few times now, but it’s because real Pop-Tarts are kinda gross and people need to have a better choice for a pie on the go! We have several choices here: apple, blueberry, strawberry, and even NUTELLA. These are perfect for breakfast on the go, afternoon snack, or the ideal munchie because you keep your hands clean and fork free.

Queso Dip

Day Two here and we have a delicious and incredibly easy recipe that just about anyone can make without fear of screwing it up.

Normally, we don’t love cheese that suspiciously doesn’t need to be refrigerated but somehow with the magic of Rotel, and in our case green chilies and some hot sauce also, this soft rubbery cheese-clay can be modeled into a wonderfully addictive cheese dip.

For the next twenty days, we’re going to do something different. Not only are we going to shoot for posting a new recipe every day, we’re going to be celebrating one of our favorite holidays 4/20.

Here in California, consuming medical marijuana is legal and by 2018 it will be legal to do so recreationally. If you don’t like smoking, that’s fine. We don’t particularly like drinking, so we’re even. As long as there is no judgements we’re all good.

The first thing you should know about these recipes is that they ARE NOT MEDICATED, SPIKED, “SPECIAL” or MAGICAL, just magically delicious. There is absolutely no Marijuana in these recipes. These are meant to be snacks to enjoy when the munchies attack.  After enjoying a nice joint of your choice of Sativa (or Indica if you’re into being couch-locked); or a nice glass (bottle for some) of wine.

Our first recipe is one that we’ve actually posted before but we absolutely love, not only because the recipe originally comes from Queen Ina Garten but because it’s the perfect chocolate cupcake. It’s not overly chocolatey, you could probably eat a couple before feeling bad about it.

And funnily enough a couple years ago, we decided to make “special” cupcakes using this recipe. We literally chopped up weed, threw it in and hoped for the best.  We totally had no idea what we were doing. We have a friend, we’ll call her *Tooty* and Tooty decided she wanted to try these cupcakes we made. She ate one, and a maybe like thirty minutes later said she didn’t feel anything and wanted to have another. So she had another, and then one more because she said there were too good not to have just one more. Well fast forward to an hour later, and poor Tooty was SO HIGH. She couldn’t stop laughing and giggling. It was actually pretty funny. Probably not our brightest moment, but it was a great memory that we all look back fondly at, right Tooty?
